Motorex is reflecting on one of its most successful seasons ever in global motorsport. Throughout the last 12 months, the Swiss brand’s quality products have been relied upon to secure no fewer than 16 prestigious titles, in addition to numerous top-three finishes by riders in various championships. This undeniable success highlights the sheer dominance of the family-owned company in all forms of motorcycle racing, with its world title tally now standing at an impressive 191.
In 2025, Motorex oils and lubricants were used by five different manufacturers to claim titles in world championship-level motocross, enduro, trial, rally, and road racing. To further underline the performance and reliability of the brand’s product range, the top five riders in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship all raced machinery prepared with Motorex. Additionally, the top four finishers in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship, FIM Enduro2 World Championship, and the FIM Enduro3 World Championship all competed on motorcycles prepared with the brand’s lubricants.
DAKAR RALLY SUCCESS SETS THE TONE FOR 2025
The 2025 season began with one of the most iconic offroad races on the calendar—the Dakar Rally. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Daniel Sanders led from day one at the gruelling 12-stage event to secure his maiden win, marking the first major victory of the season for riders on Motorex-maintained machinery. Dakar rookie Edgar Canet picked up the Rally2 class win to secure a double success for KTM. Later in the year, Sanders added the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship title to his name, with Canet also winning the FIM Rally2 World Cup.
SUPERENDURO EXCELLENCE ON THE INDOOR STAGE
From the high-speed stages of rally racing to the tight confines of racing inside arenas, Motorex enjoyed another successful FIM SuperEnduro World Championship campaign. Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt was simply unstoppable, winning all seven rounds on his way to picking up his fifth consecutive indoor title in March.
ENDUROGP PARTNERSHIP DELIVERS IMMEDIATE SUCCESS
In an exciting move, Motorex became an official, long-term partner of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship in 2025. The partnership proved an instant success, with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia claiming both the EnduroGP and Enduro1 titles. To further highlight the dominance of riders on Motorex-maintained machinery, the entire top five in the final EnduroGP standings raced on various brands of motorcycles prepared with Swiss-made lubricants.
The accolades continued in other classes too as GasGas Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona won Enduro2, with Sherco Racing Factory’s Hamish MacDonald topping Enduro3 for the first time ever. Plus, with Romain Dagna winning the Youth Enduro division and Roland Liszka racing to victory in the Enduro Open 2-stroke World Cup, it marked an incredibly successful season for riders relying on Motorex products.
HARD ENDURO: LETTENBICHLER CONTINUES HIS REIGN
Red Bull KTM’s Manuel Lettenbichler picked up his fourth FIM Hard Enduro World Championship in as many years. Across the season, the Motorex ambassador delivered a dominant campaign that included four wins and six podiums on his way to clinching the title.
MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES AT THE FINAL ROUND
The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship proved highly successful for Motorex-supported riders, with both title fights decided at the 20th and final round. In the premier MXGP class, Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP’s Romain Febvre secured the title over class rookie, Red Bull KTM’s Lucas Coenen. Coenen’s teammate, Simon Laengenfelder, was crowned MX2 World Champion for the first time in his career.
Throughout the season, Längenfelder withstood immense pressure from three other riders on Motorex-maintained machinery—Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay de Wolf, and fellow KTM riders, Andrea Adamo and Sacha Coenen. In European motocross championships, further success for Motorex was secured courtesy of Nicolo Alvisi in EMX125 and Lucas Leok in EMX85, who both raced their KTMs to their respective titles.
STRONG RESULTS IN AMA SUPERCROSS AND GNCC
In AMA Supercross, Motorex once again enjoyed a strong presence. Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle secured back-to-back 250SX East titles, with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s RJ Hampshire finishing third. Vialle’s two teammates, Julien Beaumer (250SX West) and Chase Sexton (450SX), both finished as runner-up in their respective classes. Staying stateside, the GNCC series concluded in late October with Ben Kelley claiming the championship over Grant Davis, while Korie Steede was crowned GNCC WXC Champion.
SUCCESS ACROSS TRIAL, SUPERMOTO, SPEEDWAY AND BEYOND
Motorex-supported riders also excelled in other motorcycle racing disciplines. Sherco Racing Factory’s Ryon Land was crowned FIM Trial3 World Champion, with GASGAS Factory Racing’s Jaime Busto finishing as runner-up in the TrialGP category. In the FIM Supermoto World Championship, Lukas Höllbacher and Steve Bonnal finished second and third in the final standings. The 2025 SpeedwayGP campaign was also very rewarding with five of the top seven riders in the final championship standings relying on Motorex throughout the season. The leading riders were Brady Kurtz in second with Dan Bewley third.
ROAD RACING AND ENDURANCE HIGHLIGHTS
The highlight for Motorex in road racing this year was undoubtedly the FIM Moto3 World Championship secured by Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Jose Antonio Rueda. The talented Spaniard delivered an incredible campaign to claim the championship with four rounds remaining, and together with his teammate Alvaro Carpe, they picked up the Moto3 Team World Champions title.
In the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship, Team Bolliger Switzerland enjoyed a successful year. Their highlight of the season was undoubtedly their commanding victory—complete with pole-position and setting the fastest lap of the race—at the 24H Moto Barcelona Catalunya Martimotos. Throughout the campaign, the team maintained their strong form to finish seventh in the final championship standings.
EXPANDING PARTNERSHIPS AND LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026
Away from world championship level competition, Motorex began a number of exciting new partnerships and strengthened existing relationships in 2025. A new agreement with French motorcycle brand Sherco saw every one of their production machines first filled and prepared with Motorex. Sherco’s official racing team—Sherco Racing Factory—also benefitted from the same lubricants, with world titles secured in TrialGP and EnduroGP, in addition to a stage win at the Dakar Rally and a victory at round five of the FIM Bajas World Cup.
Early in 2025, Motorex became the official lubricant partner of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro, with next year’s edition in Portugal marking the 100th running of the prestigious race. Ahead of the event, Motorex will be releasing a commemorative product to mark the special occasion. Other notable partnerships that Motorex continue to enjoy include its work with various ambassadors—including Ski World Champion Franjo von Allmen—in addition to organising its Dirt Mania riding festival, and prosperous affiliation with WorldSSP team Feel Racing who compete with Ducati machinery.
Looking ahead to 2026, Motorex is excited to begin the new racing season in earnest and build upon its growing list of achievements. In January, the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship resumes, the AMA Supercross campaign begins, and as tradition, the infamous Dakar Rally kicks the year off in style. To celebrate all things Dakar, Motorex is currently in the final stages of editing a video documentary to be released in MONTH ahead of/alongside what will be the 48th edition of the world’s toughest rally-raid.
