Lewis Wins Dubai Rally

BMW factory rider and Cycle World magazine off-road editor Jimmy Lewis came out on top of the five-day 2000 UAE Desert Challenge, a rally that concluded on Saturday in Dubai, United Arab Emitrates.

Lewis rode his BMW 900RR to victory over KTM-mounted Chilean Carlo de Gavardo, with the Californian winning by 14 minutes, 31 seconds.

Lewis will be aboard his factory BMW again in the upcoming Dakar Rally.
