Team Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott proved he has recovered from his various injuries by winning yesterday’s headline Harvey Mushman 100 at the Elsinore Grand Prix at Lake Elsinore, California. Also performing well after an injury-riddled season was KTM’s Shane Watts, who secured the runner-up slot, proclaiming this morning: “Finally was able to finish a race! My hands were all tore up, though. I’m hurting!” Third went to Honda-mounted Scott Sheak, with Brent Harden (son of KTM honcho Scot Harden) claiming fourth. The top five were rounded out by Ryan Hughes, making it three KTMs in the top five.
