A newly designed Exedy clutch hub has optimized lubrication ports, further enhancing durability and improving torque capacity in extreme racing conditions. The new Belleville Clutch Spring delivers refined clutch action and consistent engagement. New engine mounts are tuned to deliver a more refined chassis performance, while a new gearbox selector star offers improved gear selection and robust engagement. The new Performance Yellow graphics kit, with in-mold decals, gives the TF 450-X a bold, race-ready presence. Weighing 239.4 pounds, Triumph measured a maximum power of 61.5 hp at 9500 rpm and 36.8 lb-ft @ 7000 rpm.

The TF 450-X comes equipped with premium componentry, including Brembo brakes, KYB suspension, Pro Taper bars, and D.I.D wheels fitted as standard, along with race-optimize electronics including launch control, traction control, quickshifter and dual engine maps.

Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Stroud, said: “Our motocross program has already delivered podium finishes in both Supercross and MXGP, and the response to our TF 250-X and TF 450-RC has been outstanding. The new TF 450-X builds on that momentum, offering the same race-developed performance in a standard production model. Developed and tested to deliver performance, control, and reliability for riders of all capabilities, this model is engineered to be accessible for weekend riders while helping competitive racers perform at the highest level.”

The engine mapping carries over from the RC edition, improving throttle response and boosting low-end torque, giving riders more control out of corners and stronger starts. Designed for competitive performance, the engine features a forged König aluminum piston for strength and high-rev durability. Flow-optimized Del West titanium valves are ultra-light, allowing higher rpm and improved response, while DLC-coated rockers and cams minimize friction, enhancing durability and smooth performance at high loads. Mass-saving magnesium engine covers are race-developed for strength, cooling, and easy maintenance.

The advanced fuel and air system features a Dell’Orto 44mm throttle body and Keihin injector for maximum fuel atomization, and the airbox and silencer, first seen on the TF 450- RC edition, improve airflow and throttle response while meeting FIM and AMA race sound regulations.

The high capacity Exedy clutch hub has been upgraded, increasing torque capacity and providing smoother engagement and consistent performance. This durable, race-ready clutch is housed in a steel clutch basket and paired with Brembo hydraulics for consistent engagement. Engineered for precision, the Belleville Clutch Spring offers enhanced clutch feel where required. A quickshifter is also fitted as standard, enabling clutchless upshifts from second to fifth gears.

Brembo brakes with Galfer discs deliver strong, consistent stopping power. Lightweight D.I.D DirtStar 7000-series aluminum rims are fitted with Pirelli MX32 mid-soft terrain tires, offering excellent grip and durability. An optional disc guard is available for added protection in demanding conditions.

The TF 450-X retains Triumph’s unique aluminum spine frame—an ultra-light, twin-cradle design that balances stiffness and flex for confident handling. The hydroformed swingarm and race-developed linkage system reduce weight while maximizing grip and traction, contributing to excellent rear grip and suspension feel.

The KYB settings are also carried over from the RC edition, developed to improve mid-stroke control, chassis balance, and cornering stability. Refined by racing input to deliver a pro-level performance, the premium KYB setup has been dialed in for big hits and technical rhythm sections. The 1.89” (48mm) KYB AOS coil spring forks and three-way adjustable piggyback shock are tuned for consistent damping, controlled landings and enhanced front end feel across a wide range of terrain.

Enhanced with premium components, the TF 450-X features Neken triple clams, ProTaper ACF carbon core handlebars, and ODI lock-on grips, which complete a cockpit designed for control and comfort. The final drive features D.I.D 520 SDH chain and JT lightweight sprockets co-developed for further mass improvements.

The comprehensive electronics package includes launch control, traction control and dual engine maps. Riders can switch between power modes via handlebar controls or the optional MX Tune Pro app, which also unlocks up to ten additional engine maps when paired with the Accessory Engine Management Unit. A sensor dashboard provides live engine data, diagnostics, and service alerts, while a discreet hour meter tracks engine run-time.
