Cycle News Staff | May 11, 2017

KTM didn’t waste any time introducing its first batch of 2018 motocrossers. The first to be revealed from the Austrian manufacturer include the 2018 250 and 450 SX-Fs, 125 and 150 SX two-strokes, and 85 SX.

The 2018 KTM 250 SX-F (pictured) and 450 SX-F get updated fork settings and orange frames.

The four-strokes feature just a few updates, such as revised settings for the WP AER 48 air forks and new orange coloring for the frame. Graphics, of course, are new, too. The 125 and 150 also get new aluminum head stays and new CDI control for “improved starting behavior.”

The new 85 SX gets pretty much new everything, including engine and chassis.

The 2018 KTM 85 SX, however, has been significantly updated. It gets an all-new engine that is nearly two pounds lighter than the previous engine. KTM claims that power has been improved across the entire rpm range, as has rideability. The new 85 SX also gets a new and lighter frame, including subframe.

These models are expected to be available in June. CN
